Location:
Perched on a hillside overlooking the crystal-clear waters
of the New River Lagoon, the Lamanai Outpost Lodge provides a jungle experience
unlike any other. Adjacent to the spectacular Maya ruins of the Lamanai Archaeological Reserve. Most of our package guests arrive
at Lamanai via the popular road/river trip, where you drive 1 1/4 h on
the Northern Highway to Orange Walk and finally in the village of Shipyard
you will embark and enjoy a wonderful boat ride on the New River to the
lodge. But, if you prefer, you can take a short flight from Belize City.

Although the Lamanai Outpost Lodge is remote (over 100 road
miles from Belize City), the lodge provides all the comforts of home plus
anything you need for a memorable holiday.
A wonderful atmosphere with
attention to detail... The Outpost's cabañas offer rustic elegance while
blending in with the lush tropical garden. Each cabaña is handcrafted
of local hardwoods with a palm thatched roof and features:

The open air restaurant and
bar offer panoramic views of the New River Lagoon and the jungle-blanketed
Maya ruins of Lamanai. Also you will find a reference library and lounge
area to relax with a cold drink before dinner. The highly praised daily
menu is a blend of Belizean and North American cuisine featuring tropical
fruits, vegetables, and other locally grown products. The cook will be
happy to provide for those with special dietary requirements.
Activities:
The early morning light mixed with the mist over the lagoon's
glassy waters invites exploration, a task made simple with our fleet of
canoes with paddles and life jackets. At the end of a day full of adventure,
you may wish to wind down and take a swim from our dock. At night, you
can relax in one of the dock's many reclined chairs and ponder the endless
expanses of the universe clearly seen from above. Or you can...
