Ecuador trip, Andrew P (from USA) - February 14, 2007
Found the everything on the trip to have been arranged wonderfully and everyone we dealt with in the company attended to all our requests. This made the trip great.
Chile trip, Fred B (from USA) - February 14, 2007
Laura, We just returned from Chile. Thank you for doing such a good job. I thought it might be appropriate to give you some feed back. Pro Tours did a great job in their logistics. We were always picked up on time at the various airports etc. Hotel Galerias was very nice.

The Hotel staff confirmed that the area is unsafe, especially at night. The Santiago Tour is really well done. Hotel Gromero is very clean and a 20" walk to the center of town. The only drawback to it is that visitors should know that it caters mainly to Germans and because of that the folks there are a bit rigid and further that breakfast daily is ham, cheese, and cake.

The Villalarrica Lake Hotel is the nicest Hotel we have ever stayed in. The Lake country package we had was not one I would recommend (our guide agreed ) The Lava Tube visit, the visit to the hot springs, and the tour of Pucon are not worth the time and the hike is very demanding. The local tour company offers a number of other tours; a visit to the Mapuche Indian reservation, a visit to the Temuco Mercado which sells Mapuche Silver, and other equally interesting but easier hiking.

We found the Chilean people the warmest and most engaging of any we have had the opportunity to get to know. Best Wishes, Fred & Ellen B.
Ecuador trip, Andrew P (from USA) - February 13, 2007
Andrew is still in Ecuador climbing in the Andes, and will not be home till Monday. I would like to thank you for all you did to make everything so wonderful and stress free. Sacha Lodge was fantastic, we were looked after from we woke till we went to bed. On our return we were met at the airport and had a great city tour with a very helpful and informative guide. The horse riding was also well arranged and worked very well for us. Thanks for arranging everything and hope to come back again Maureen P.
Chile trip, Richard Carl S (from USA) - February 12, 2007

I talked with the stocktons this morning. Their trip went well, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were very happy with their anniversary dinner.

The hotel had given them flowers and plied them with wine. I was very pleased with your service and the pick up of documents at the vehicle counter in santiago went off without a problem. Thanks for all your help. Doris

Costa Rica trip, Lee Watson (from USA) - February 10, 2007
The "Classic Costa Rica Tour" from Latindiscover.com exceeded all of our highest expectations in all areas. To simply say the transfers went "smoothly" would not give justice to the superb service provided by our driver/guides! The itinerary was excellent and perfect for first-time visitor/naturalists like ourselves. The choice of hotels was also great and several were far beyond our expectations. We highly recommend this package tour from latindiscover.com. Lee & Linda Watson.
Ecuador trip, Nathan Winder (from USA) - February 5, 2007
Laura, I just wanted to thank you and Latin Discover for helping me plan a wonderful trip. I was very impressed with your prompt and helpful emails and repsonse to my questions. I was pleased with the organization of having my personal trip website, itinerary information and with having my plane ticket and voucher delivered the day before my departure as planned. The Encantada was great and I had an amazing experience in the Galapagos. I wouldn´t hesitate using Latin Discover again for future trips througout Latin America. Thanks again and best wishes, Nathan Winder ps. You´re welcome to use any of my comments as positive feedback on your website or elsewhere.
Costa Rica trip, Christine N (from USA) - February 4, 2007

Mauricio, first thank you very much for all your help! We had an unforgettable time! The transportation from the airport to Hotel Grano de Oro was great and the hotel was beautiful! Our first night we stayed in a newer room and on our last night we stayed in the older part right above the restaurant, which may I say was fabulous!

Our flight to Tortuguero was fun, there was only about 8 people on our flight the landing in Tortuguero was pretty fun too with the crosswinds. We were so happy we chose to fly in since we had more time to check out the hotel and surrondings. Within minutes of our arrival, we saw our first monkeys, a family of 5. We were so excited! The stay was fabulous! Our guide Alex was wonderful! We really liked him. All the staff at the Pachira Lodge were wonderful, from our bar tender, boat driver, office manager and the restaurant staff were so wonderful and insightful.

It was fun on our last night we received a fun Honeymoon drink, a pina colada in a pineapple. We will definitely return! The boat ride out was great. Our bus ride was good, it was great to be able to look around an soak in Costa Rica. Adobe rental cars was great, Katrina was wonderful, she took her time and answered all our question and helped us with our map. Driving was fine, we learned the rules quickly and ran into no problems, except maybe getting a little lost, but the locals were wonderful and would help us.

The Arenal Volano Inn was beautiful, the town was great and the restaurant at the Inn was so yummy! We did see the Volcano for a second during the day and one night when we were having dinner at the restaurant at the Inn the servers told us to go outside and look and we saw the volcano, lava and all!! It was very exciting! When we were in Arenal we did the Hanging bridges walk, it was beautiful and exciting! Then we hiked down to this waterfall, the hike was step but the path was well kept and the waterfall was spektacular! Hotel Fonda Vela was beautiful and the restaurant was good. One morning we walked to Stella's Bakery for breakfast and we got two sandwiches to go, it was wonderful food!!!

We did the hanging bridge walk and the zip-line with the company Adventura. Of it was a wonderful time, our guide for our walk was great and funny, and the guys for the zip-line, were amazing!!! We had the best time every! Denise was the lead guy and there were three other men helping all of us, Fernando and I can' t remember the other two. Anyways, there were so full of life and so funny! We had a wonderful time, they had two surprises for us a vertical drop and the Tarzan swing... SO scarry but so much fun!!!!

We also did a night walk, it was so cool! We saw a lot of wildlife. Also our guide was great! Manuel Antonio was beautiful! The Parador, was amazing our view was breathtaking! The ppols and swim up bar were great! We found two wonderful restaurants, Red Beard and El Avion, the food was great and there was live music.

We went into the park on morning at 8am, we had a great time we saw a lot of monkeys, the beachs were great. We chose not to go with a guide and so we were able to take our time, lay on the beach and swim. The next day we came back and just laid on the beach. It was wonderful! Osa Peninsula was amazing! Aguila de Osa Inn, was amazing! Brad and all the staff were wonderful, you could tell they were like a family.

What an experience, so intimate and personable. We fished one day with Captain Willie and Christian. We chose to go out all day. It was wonderful just Chris and I and the two guys. We had an unforgettable time. We caught a yellow fin tuna, a Mahi and 5 sailfish. Chris was smiling ear to ear.

We saw a ton of dolphins. And the two guys even saved a giant sea turtle who was stuck in a net. They served the tuna that night for an appetizer and the third night they served the Mahi. The food was amazing at every meal. The second day we went on our snorkel trip to Cano Island. So if you can't tell that, we had a wonderful time!

We only ran into a couple of snags along the way. Everything was great and the information you gave was very helpful. The only thing that we would have found to be a little more helpful would be to give better directions when driving into San Jose... We did not have a very good map.. but adventually we were able to figure out our surronding and make it to the hotel.

Mauricio, thank you for everything!!! we will definitely return to Costa Rica some day! Every place we stayed had its own personality and each was so unique. We loved every place and every experience! Thanks a million!

Hello Laura, I just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the trip you arranged for us to Easter Island and Santiago. Everything was perfect and we had a wonderful time. Peru trip, Edwin Heinen (from USA) - January 24, 2007
Mauricio, We had a great time on our trip and everything worked out very well. If doing the trip again when coming back from Machu Picchu I would have gotten off the train at Ollayantambo and taken a bus to Cusco. It would have saved some time (1 to 2 hours) and the train didn’t get back till 9:00 which made a long day. Thought all the hotels were great and the Peru help was good. Thanks for all your help. When you get a chance I need your ideas about my going to Costa Rica next Christmas. Thanks Ed
Peru trip, Marcia M (from USA) - January 23, 2007

Good Morning, Mauricio! We have arrived safely home and we are slowly settling back into the cold New England weather!!! It's a real shock after summer in Peru! Our trip was wonderful - all of our arrangements through Latin Discover and Lima Tours were flawless. Our accommodations were all above expectation - the Jose Antonio was clean and comfortable and close enough to the Plaza del Armas that we could walk (though it was rainy and we chose to take a cab at S/ 3 !!!!); the Sonesta Posada del Inka was charming. The setting in an old monastery was very interesting and the grounds were lush with flowers.

All three meals (lunch and dinner on Wednesday, and breakfast on Thursday) were delicious and the dining rooms were very attractive. Our son, Andrew, treated himself to a facial at the spa here. The spa prices were very reasonable and the services very professional.

The Machu Picchu Pueblo Inn was another dream!!! What an amazing hotel!!! We left Macchu Picchu at about 3pm on that first day so that we would have time to enjoy the hotel. We were so pleased that we did leave time to enjoy the grounds of the hotel. Our room here was huge and had a whole wall of windows. We walked the orchid trail and saw many hummingbirds.

"Happy Hour" at the hotel was a real treat - the lobby and bar areas were all lit in candlelight and there were fires in the fireplaces. The guests all gathered and chatted as we waited for dinner. The dining room was beautiful and the food excellent. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we made it a point to come down from Machu Picchu on Friday in time to have a late lunch at Machu Picchu Pueblo Inn before catching our train back to Cusco. Our room here was huge and had a whole wall of windows.

Our tours and tour guides were all excellent. They were all on time (picked us up exactly when they said they would) and each guide spoke English well and shared good information with us. We felt that all of the guides and the Lima Tours personnel went "above and beyond" to ensure our comfort and our enjoyment. We also appreciated the small size of the tour groups that we were a part of. Our day tour in Cusco had about 12 people, and our trip to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu had only 5!! We felt as if we had a personal tour!

I had read and was pleased to learn that our trip from Aguas Calientes back to Cusco would be part train ride and part van ride. The guide books all suggest that departing the train in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba and taking a van is quicker than taking the train all the way back to Cusco. We left Aguas Calientes at 4:45 and we were back at the Jose Antonio in Cusco by 7:30pm.

As I think I mentioned in my e-mail from Aguas Calientes, we also had perfect weather (something we know can't be controlled) for travel in what is considered the rainy season!!! The night that we returned to Cusco from Machu Picchu, Cusco had a huge hail storm at about 4PM - we were surprised to see the piles of hail (ice) as we drove back in to the city. The locals were pretty surprised, too. I have attached a few photos from our trip. Hope that you enjoy them - maybe they'll even bring back memories of your trip to Machu Picchu...

We all agree that we would not hesitate to use Latin Discover and Lima Tours again if we venture back to South America. Our son Andrew is already talking about trying to get a group of his friends together, and his younger brother, to go to Machu Picchu. I will save all of your information and he will be in touch when the time comes. Thank you again, Mauricio, for all of your assistance with our memorable trip to Peru! We will certainly recommend you and Latin Discover when we are asked about our trip. I am putting together a digital picture show of our vacation to show to friends, so I am sure that there will be a lot of questions about our arrangements. Hopefully we can send some business your way! Again, many thanks! Terry, Marcia, and Andrew

Ecuador trip, Stefan F (from Sweden) - January 16, 2007

Laura, the trip was fantastic. Everything worked perfectly. The boat was good, the crew and the guides were very competent. I want to thank you also for your kind and professional help.

Prior to the Galapagos trip we spent a week at the Hotel Embassy and Cuello de Luna close to Cotopaxi. Both of them worked very well for us, and we a very good mountain guide from Cuello de Luna. Thanks again, Stefan Fölster

Costa Rica trip, Egbert v (from Costa Rica) - January 12, 2007

Peru trip, Michael B (from USA) - January 2, 2007
Mauricio, All the very best for 2007 to you, good health above all! I will write in a little more detail when I'm a bit more organized. As an overall statement though, from point of pick-up in Lima Airport to point of drop off at same, I could not have been more pleased with my trip. Lima Tours never missed a beat; everything was on time and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful and the pace of the trip was just right. Hotels exceeded expectations. Future travel plans to South America will certainly include Latin Discover. Many thanks for all of your efforts in setting the trip up for us. Best wishes Mike Bridger
